Learn how to interpret power, charging, pairing, recording, and system status LED indicators on VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses and understand what each light pattern means during everyday use.
The status LED on VIVE Eagle helps you understand what the device is doing at any given time. By recognizing the LED colors and blinking patterns, you can quickly determine whether the glasses are powering on, charging, pairing, recording, updating, or reporting an issue.
Where is the status LED?
The status LED is positioned on the inner side of the frame below the right temple hinge. Unlike the capture LED near the camera, the status LED is primarily intended for the wearer and reports the operating status of the glasses.
Note: The status LED and capture LED serve different purposes. The status LED communicates device status, while the capture LED helps indicate when photos or videos are being captured.
Power and system indicators
The following LED behaviors indicate the power or system state of VIVE Eagle.
| LED behavior | Color | Meaning |
| Fades in and out continuously | White | Powering on |
| Fades in for 3 seconds, then turns off | White | Ready to use |
| Blinks once | White | Powered on |
| Turns on, then fades out for 3 seconds | White | Powering off |
| Blinks continuously | White and pink | Firmware update in progress |
| Blinks white and pink four times | White and pink | Factory reset in progress |
Firmware updates
During a firmware update, the status LED continuously blinks white and pink. Do not turn off the glasses during the update process.
Factory reset
When a factory reset starts, the status LED blinks white and pink four times. This indicates that VIVE Eagle is resetting and removing stored data while keeping the current firmware version.
Pairing and connection indicators
The LED patterns below help you understand the Bluetooth pairing and connection status of VIVE Eagle.
| LED behavior | Color | Meaning |
| Blinks rapidly and continuously | White | Pairing |
| Blinks twice | White | Connected |
| Blinks continuously | White | Searching for device |
| Blinks twice | Red | Failed to connect |
| Blinks continuously | Red | Failed to connect because the battery is too low |
During setup
When setting up VIVE Eagle with VIVE Connect, the status LED flashes white when the glasses are ready to pair with your phone.
Connection problems
If the LED blinks red, the connection attempt was unsuccessful. If the red blinking continues, the battery level may be too low to complete the connection process. Charge the glasses and try again.
Battery and charging indicators
The battery and charging LEDs display the current charging state and battery condition of VIVE Eagle.
| LED behavior | Color | Meaning |
| Solid | White | Fully charged (glasses not worn) |
| Fades in, then turns off | White | Fully charged (glasses worn) |
| Solid | Pink | Charging (glasses not worn) |
| Fades in, then turns off | Pink | Charging (glasses worn) |
| Blinks slowly and continuously | Red | Battery too low to power on while charging |
| Blinks twice | Red | Low battery or charging error |
Checking whether charging is working
When charging begins, the LED typically appears pink. Once charging is complete, the LED changes to white. The exact behavior may differ depending on whether you are wearing the glasses.
Low battery warnings
If the status LED blinks red, the battery level is critically low or a charging issue has occurred. Connect the charging cable and allow the battery to charge before continuing to use the glasses.
Activity and notification indicators
These LED patterns appear when VIVE Eagle is performing tasks, receiving notifications, or interacting with VIVE AI.
| LED behavior | Color | Meaning |
| Blinks twice quickly | White | New notification received |
| Solid | White | Recording a video |
| Blinks once | White | Photo captured |
| Blinks every second | White | Incoming call |
| Blinks continuously | White | VIVE AI is listening |
| Blinks twice | Red | System error or overheating |
Video recording
When recording a video, the status LED remains solid white. This helps confirm that recording is currently active.
Taking photos
A single white blink confirms that a photo has been captured.
Voice interactions
While VIVE AI is actively listening for commands or responses, the status LED blinks continuously in white.
Incoming calls
If a call is received through a connected phone, the status LED blinks once every second until the call is answered, rejected, or ends.
Error and overheating indicators
If the status LED blinks red twice, VIVE Eagle has detected a system error or overheating condition.
Try the following:
- Stop using the glasses temporarily.
- Move to a cooler environment if the device feels warm.
- Allow the glasses to cool before using them again.
- Restart the device if the issue persists.
If the LED continues reporting an error condition after restarting, contact VIVE Support for additional assistance.
