VIVE Eagle can record voice notes, conversations, and meetings. Recorded audio can be processed with VIVE AI Notes to generate transcripts and AI-generated summaries.
Before recording other people, make sure you understand and follow applicable laws, organizational policies, venue requirements, and consent requirements that may apply in your location.
Before you start recording
To use voice recording features:
- Wear your VIVE Eagle glasses.
- Connect VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.
- Verify that your phone is available and functioning normally.
- Ensure participants can be heard clearly during the recording.
For the best recording quality, speak clearly and make sure participants are near the glasses while speaking.
Ways to start a voice recording
VIVE Eagle supports multiple ways to start and stop a voice recording.
Use a voice command
Say the wake word and then:
Start recording
- "Start voice recording"
- "Start audio recording"
- "Record audio"
Stop recording
- "Stop voice recording"
- "End voice recording"
- "Stop recording"
Use VIVE Connect
- Open VIVE Connect.
- Go to the VIVE AI screen (VIVE icon).
- Tap Voice recordings.
- Tap the record button to begin recording.
- Tap the stop button when finished.
Use the AI button
You can assign Voice recording to a single-press or double-press AI button action.
Once configured, press the AI button using the assigned gesture to start and stop recordings.
Recording length limits
Each voice recording can be up to two hours long.

- Select a recording.
- Tap Transcript.
- Choose a transcription language.
- Tap Transcribe.

Rename a recording
- Open VIVE Connect.
- Go to the VIVE AI screen (VIVE icon).
- Open Voice recordings.
- Select a recording.
- Tap Rename.
- Enter a new name.
- Tap Confirm.
Share a recording
You can share:
- Audio files (.aac)
- Transcripts (.pdf)
- AI summaries (.pdf)
Open a recording, tap Share, select the content to share, and choose a sharing app.
Delete a recording
- Open VIVE Connect.
