Learn how to record voice notes, meetings, and conversations with VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses using voice commands, the AI button, or the VIVE Connect app.
Voice recording lets you capture personal notes, conversations, and meetings using VIVE Eagle smart glasses. Recorded audio can later be transcribed and summarized with VIVE AI Notes in the VIVE Connect app.
Before you begin
To use voice recording on VIVE Eagle:
- Wear your VIVE Eagle smart glasses.
- Ensure the glasses are connected to the VIVE Connect app.
- If this is your first time using the feature, you'll be prompted to review a feature notice in VIVE Connect and acknowledge it before recording.
Important information
- Each voice recording can be up to two hours long.
- First-time users of VIVE AI Notes receive complimentary transcription minutes that are consumed based on recording length.
- VIVE AI Notes supports multiple transcription languages.
Record a voice note using voice commands
- Say your configured wake word.
- Say “Start voice recording.”
- When you're finished, say the wake word again and then “Stop voice recording.”
Other supported commands for starting a recording include:
- “Start audio recording”
- “Record audio”
Supported commands for stopping a recording include:
- “Stop voice recording”
- “End voice recording”
- “Stop recording”
Record a voice note from VIVE Connect
- Open the VIVE Connect app.
- Go to the VIVE AI screen.
- Tap Voice recordings.
- Tap the record button to begin recording.
- Tap the stop button when you're finished.
Record a voice note using the AI button
You can assign Voice recording as an action for a single press or double press of the AI button in VIVE Connect.
After Voice recording is assigned:
- Press the AI button using your configured gesture to start recording.
- Press the same gesture again to stop recording.
The Voice recording AI button action creates a voice note that can later be transcribed and summarized with VIVE AI Notes.
Tips for better recordings
For the best results:
- Speak loudly and clearly.
- Make sure people participating in the conversation are close enough to your glasses to be recorded clearly.
What you can do after recording
After you create a voice recording, VIVE AI Notes can help you work with the recording in VIVE Connect:
- Generate a transcript of the recording.
- Create an AI-generated summary of meetings or conversations.
- Rename recordings for easier organization.
- Share recording files, transcripts, or summaries.
- Delete recordings you no longer need.
