Pair VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses with your phone using the VIVE Connect app, complete the first-time setup process, and establish a wireless connection.
To use your VIVE Eagle smart glasses, you must first pair them with your phone through the VIVE Connect app. Pairing creates the connection needed to complete setup, personalize your experience, and access VIVE Eagle features.
Before you begin
Make sure that:
- VIVE Connect is installed on your phone.
- Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Your VIVE Eagle glasses have sufficient battery power.
Pair VIVE Eagle with your phone
- Open VIVE Connect on your phone.
- Review the Terms and License Agreement and Privacy Policy, then agree to continue.
- Tap Get started.
- Sign in with your HTC account, or create a new account if needed.
- Follow the introductory screens that identify the controls, camera, and charging connector on VIVE Eagle.
- When prompted, press and hold the AI button on the left temple of the glasses until the status LED begins pulsing white.
- Wait until the status LED starts flashing white, then tap Next in the app.
- When the pairing dialog appears, tap Pair.
- On the glasses, press the AI button to confirm pairing with your phone.
- When the Pairing successful screen appears, tap Next.
Complete setup after pairing
After pairing is complete:
- Install any available system update if prompted.
- Put on your glasses.
- Choose the name you want VIVE AI to use when addressing you.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to train voice recognition for the "Hey VIVE" wake phrase.
- Review the privacy information and grant the required permissions.
- Complete or skip the introductory tutorials according to your preference.
How to confirm pairing was successful
You can confirm successful pairing when:
- The app displays a Pairing successful message.
- The status LED indicates a connected state by blinking white twice.
Troubleshooting pairing issues
If pairing does not complete successfully:
- Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone before starting the pairing process.
- Make sure the glasses are in pairing mode and the status LED is flashing white.
- If the status LED shows a connection failure, ensure the glasses have enough battery power and try pairing again. The LED may blink red when a connection attempt fails or when the battery is too low.
