Your control over personal data
VIVE Eagle provides several ways to manage, back up, and delete your information.
Delete AI chats
You can remove individual AI conversations or delete AI chat history from VIVE Connect. The app includes options for deleting chats across a selected time range.
Delete memories and memos
Saved memories and manually created memos can be deleted at any time through VIVE Connect, either individually or in batches.
Delete voice recordings
Voice recordings, transcripts, and summaries can be deleted from within VIVE Connect when they are no longer needed.
Delete photos and videos
Media management controls allow you to permanently delete photos and videos from VIVE Connect. Depending on the option selected, media can be removed from both VIVE Connect and your phone or only from VIVE Connect.
Cloud backup and restore
VIVE Connect supports cloud backup and restore for VIVE AI data, including your AI chats, questions, and memos. Backup data can be stored in supported cloud services such as iCloud or Google Drive, depending on your device platform.
You can:
- Configure automatic backups
- Run manual backups
- Restore previously backed-up data
- Delete backup data when no longer needed
What happens during factory reset
If you perform a factory reset, all data stored on VIVE Eagle is removed. Before resetting the device, you should back up any data, photos, or videos that you want to keep. A factory reset returns the device to its factory-default state while retaining the most recently installed firmware version.
Additionally, pairing operations and phone migration procedures may clear data stored on the glasses. Before unpairing or pairing with a different phone, import and preserve any important media to avoid data loss.
Permissions and access control
Some VIVE Eagle features require permissions granted through VIVE Connect. For example, access to phone contacts is only available when the required permissions are granted by the user. VIVE Connect uses these permissions to support related features such as calling functions.
During setup, VIVE Connect presents required permissions and privacy-related notices so users can review and grant access as needed.
Privacy-focused design features
VIVE Eagle includes privacy-focused features designed to increase transparency during camera usage. When taking photos or recording videos, the capture LED serves as a built-in privacy indicator to notify people nearby that image or video capture is taking place. Photo and video capture are restricted if the capture LED is covered.
