How VIVE Eagle Protects Your Data
Data stored on VIVE Eagle and in the VIVE Connect companion app is protected with encryption. This helps keep your information secure while using features such as AI interactions, saved memories, media management, and other supported experiences.
According to VIVE Eagle's privacy and security design, your data remains under your control and your identity cannot be accessed or traced by third-party AI providers.
Your Control Over AI Data
VIVE Eagle provides controls that allow you to manage and remove AI-related content stored in the system.
You can manage or delete:
- Saved memories and memos.
- Voice recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries.
- AI chats and chat history.
- Photos and videos imported through VIVE Connect.
These controls help you decide what information is retained and what information is removed from your devices and connected services.
AI Privacy During Setup
During the first-time setup process, you are asked to review and accept the applicable Terms and License Agreement and Privacy Policy before continuing.
You are also informed of the permissions required by VIVE Eagle and VIVE Connect. At the end of setup, users are given the option to share AI queries anonymously.
Privacy Features for Photos and Videos
VIVE Eagle includes privacy-conscious protections when using the camera.
To help protect the privacy of people around you, the glasses will not take photos if the capture LED is covered or if the glasses are not being worn. The capture LED acts as a built-in privacy indicator that lets others know when a photo is being captured.
The same protection applies to video recording. VIVE Eagle will not record videos when the capture LED is covered or when the glasses are not being worn. The capture LED serves as a visible indicator that recording is taking place.
