Learn how to use Siri integration with VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses and the VIVE Connect app to open apps, control supported features, and complete hands-free tasks on your iPhone.
VIVE Eagle supports integration with your iPhone's Siri assistant, allowing you to use voice commands to perform supported tasks through Siri while wearing your smart glasses. VIVE AI can work with your phone's assistant to help complete tasks and access compatible apps.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- VIVE Eagle paired and connected to the VIVE Connect app on your iPhone.
- An active internet connection on your phone for voice assistant features that require online access.
- Siri is available on your iPhone.
Enable Siri when your phone is locked
For Siri-related voice commands to work correctly with VIVE Eagle, Apple Siri must be available when your iPhone is locked.
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- In the search bar, type "Allow Siri When Locked".
- Turn on Allow Siri When Locked.
VIVE also recommends using the same language for Siri and VIVE Connect to help ensure consistent voice interactions.
Use Siri through VIVE Eagle
Once Siri integration is enabled, you can ask VIVE AI to pass commands to Siri.
Examples include:
- "Hey VIVE, ask Siri to set an alarm for 8:00 AM tomorrow."
- "Hey VIVE, tell Siri to call Frank."
VIVE Eagle includes support for using your phone's assistant and provides voice command options specifically for Siri requests.
Launch Siri using the AI button
You can configure the AI button on VIVE Eagle to wake your phone assistant instead of VIVE AI.
- Connect VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.
- Go to Settings > Gestures > AI button.
- Choose Wake up your phone assistant for a button action.
When selected, pressing the configured AI button gesture activates your phone assistant rather than VIVE AI.
What you can do with Siri
Depending on the capabilities of Siri and the apps installed on your iPhone, you may be able to:
- Open supported apps.
- Control compatible media apps.
- Access Siri-supported phone functions.
- Perform tasks that Siri supports on your iPhone.
The availability of specific actions depends on how individual apps integrate with Siri. Some apps may not support all voice control functions.
Troubleshooting
Siri commands are not working
Check the following:
- VIVE Eagle is connected to VIVE Connect.
- Your phone has internet access.
- Allow Siri When Locked is enabled in iPhone settings.
- Siri and VIVE Connect are using the same language.
Weather requests do not work on iPhone
If weather-related requests fail:
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
- Select Siri.
- Make sure While Using the App is selected.
- Turn on Precise Location.
Notes
- VIVE Eagle uses both VIVE AI and your phone's assistant to help complete supported tasks.
- Some voice commands rely on Siri integration and may not function if Siri is unavailable or restricted on the device.
- App launching and other actions depend on the integration provided by Siri and the target app.
