Learn how to control music playback on VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses using touchpad gestures while listening to audio from your connected phone.
VIVE Eagle lets you control music and other audio playing on your connected phone without taking your phone out of your pocket. Using the touchpad on the glasses, you can play or pause audio, skip tracks, return to a previous track, and adjust volume levels.
Before you start
Make sure the following requirements are met:
- Your VIVE Eagle glasses are powered on.
- Your glasses are connected to your phone through VIVE Connect.
- Audio or music is already playing on your phone through a supported media app. Media playback controls on the touchpad control media running on your phone.
Music playback controls
Use the touchpad on your VIVE Eagle glasses to control audio playback.

Play or pause music
To start or pause playback, tap the touchpad once. This toggles between play and pause for the audio currently playing on your connected phone.
Skip tracks
You can navigate between songs without using your phone:
- Double tap the touchpad to skip to the next track.
- Triple tap the touchpad to return to the previous track.
Adjust volume
To change playback volume through the speakers on VIVE Eagle:
- Swipe forward on the touchpad to increase volume.
- Swipe backward on the touchpad to decrease volume.
If media controls are not working
If touchpad media controls do not respond as expected:
- Verify that your glasses are connected to your phone through VIVE Connect.
- Confirm that media is actively playing on your phone. Media controls operate on audio playback from the connected phone.
- If the issue persists, restart your glasses and reconnect them to VIVE Connect.
