Configure Calendar Actions on VIVE Eagle

Learn how to create and check calendar events with VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses using VIVE AI, VIVE Connect, and your phone assistant integration.

VIVE Eagle can work with your phone's assistant to create calendar events and check upcoming schedules using voice commands. To use calendar actions successfully, VIVE Eagle must be connected to VIVE Connect, and your phone assistant must have access to the calendar services it uses. VIVE Eagle uses both VIVE AI and your phone's assistant to help with everyday tasks.

Before you begin

Make sure the following requirements are met:

  • VIVE Eagle is paired and connected to VIVE Connect.
  • Your phone has an active internet connection when using VIVE AI features that require online services.
  • Your phone assistant is configured and available:
    • Android devices use Gemini integration.
    • iPhone devices use Siri integration.
  • The language used by Gemini or Siri matches the language configured in VIVE Connect.

Enable calendar access on Android

For some productivity actions, VIVE AI works together with Gemini on your phone.

  1. Open the Gemini mobile app.
  2. Tap your account avatar.
  3. Tap Apps (or Personal Intelligence > Connected Apps).
  4. Enable Google Workspace to enable access to Google Calendar.

For the best experience, also make sure Use Gemini without unlocking is enabled in Gemini settings.

Enable calendar access on iPhone

VIVE Eagle can work with Siri for assistant tasks on iPhone.

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings.
  2. Tap Apple Intelligence & Siri.
  3. Turn on Allow Siri When Locked.

For reliable voice interactions, ensure Siri and VIVE Connect use the same language.

Create a calendar event with your voice

After the required assistant integrations are enabled, you can ask VIVE AI to create calendar events.

Say**"Hey VIVE"**, followed by a calendar command such as:

  • "Create event"
  • "Create calendar event"
  • "Add calendar event"

VIVE AI forwards supported calendar requests through your phone assistant integration to create the event. Calendar creation support depends on the configured phone assistant and enabled productivity integrations.

Check your calendar

You can also ask VIVE AI about upcoming events.

Say**"Hey VIVE"**, followed by one of these commands:

  • "What's on the calendar for this week?"
  • "What do I have on my calendar?"
  • "Tell me the events for tomorrow"

VIVE AI will use the available phone assistant integration to retrieve supported calendar information.

Tips for reliable calendar actions

  • Keep VIVE Eagle connected to VIVE Connect while using calendar features.
  • Make sure your phone is connected to the internet.
  • Verify that Gemini or Siri is configured correctly and uses the same language as VIVE Connect.
  • On Android, confirm that the required productivity integrations remain enabled in Gemini.

Troubleshooting

Calendar commands do not work on Android

Check the following:

  • Gemini is installed and configured on your phone.
  • The appropriate productivity integration is enabled in Gemini Apps.
  • Use Gemini without unlocking is enabled.
  • Gemini and VIVE Connect are set to the same language.

Calendar commands do not work on iPhone

Check the following:

  • Allow Siri When Locked is enabled.
  • Siri and VIVE Connect use the same language.
  • Your phone is connected to the internet and VIVE Eagle is connected to VIVE Connect.

VIVE AI says something went wrong

If VIVE AI cannot complete assistant requests:

  • Confirm that VIVE Eagle is connected to VIVE Connect.
  • Verify that the language configured in Gemini or Siri matches the language used by VIVE Connect.
