Learn how to unpair and remove a VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses device from the VIVE Connect app before switching phones, troubleshooting connection issues, or pairing to a different device.
If you plan to use your VIVE Eagle with a different phone or no longer want it connected to your current device, you can unpair it from the VIVE Connect app. Unpairing removes the connection between your phone and VIVE Eagle.
Important: Before unpairing VIVE Eagle, import any photos, videos, or other important media you want to keep. Starting a new pairing process automatically clears any stored data on the glasses.
Before you begin
Before unpairing VIVE Eagle:
- Import all important media from the glasses to your phone.
- Make sure any content you want to keep has been saved or backed up. A future pairing process may clear data stored on the glasses.
Unpair VIVE Eagle from VIVE Connect
- Open VIVE Connect on your phone.
- Go to Settings > General.
- Tap Unpair.
- Tap Unpair again to confirm.
After the process is complete, VIVE Eagle is no longer paired with your phone through VIVE Connect.
Remove VIVE Eagle from your phone's Bluetooth devices
If you want your phone to completely forget the existing Bluetooth connection after unpairing:
- Unpair VIVE Eagle from the VIVE Connect app.
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your phone.
- Find VIVE Eagle in the list of paired devices.
- Select the option to Forget, Remove, or Forget device.
The exact wording may vary depending on your phone model and operating system. After removing the device, your phone will no longer retain the saved Bluetooth pairing information.
When should I unpair VIVE Eagle?
You may want to unpair VIVE Eagle when:
- Switching to a new phone.
- Troubleshooting a pairing or connection problem.
- Removing the device from a phone you no longer use.
- Preparing to pair VIVE Eagle with a different device.
What happens after unpairing?
- VIVE Eagle is disconnected from the current phone and VIVE Connect pairing.
- Media stored on the glasses remains available after unpairing.
- If another user starts a new pairing process with the glasses, stored media is automatically cleared to help protect privacy.
