Learn how the speakers and audio system work on VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses, including open-ear audio, media playback controls, volume adjustment, calls, and voice assistant interactions on the VIVE Eagle smart glasses.
VIVE Eagle uses an integrated open-ear audio system that delivers sound through built-in speakers located in the glasses frame. This design allows you to listen to audio while remaining aware of your surroundings, making VIVE Eagle suitable for everyday activities and hands-free interactions.
Where are the speakers located?
VIVE Eagle includes integrated speakers built into the temples and positioned near your ears to deliver audio without requiring earbuds or headphones. Speaker components are located on both sides of the glasses.
How the audio system works
The audio system is used for a variety of functions on VIVE Eagle, including:
- VIVE AI responses and spoken feedback
- Voice assistant interactions
- Music and media playback
- Phone call audio
- Caller name announcements
- Voice recording notifications and system sounds
Audio is played through the built-in speakers whenever the glasses provide spoken information or when media is streamed from your connected phone.
Open-ear audio design
VIVE Eagle features an open-ear audio design that lets you hear audio without blocking your ears. This helps you stay aware of ambient sounds while listening to media, receiving calls, or interacting with VIVE AI.
The audio system also incorporates virtual bass and anti-leakage speaker technology to improve listening quality while helping reduce sound leakage to people nearby.
Adjusting the volume
You can adjust speaker volume directly from VIVE Eagle using the touchpad:
| Action | Gesture |
| Volume up | Swipe forward |
| Volume down | Swipe backward |
These same gestures can also be used while handling incoming calls.
If volume changes on the glasses do not appear to affect playback volume, some phones may require volume synchronization settings to be enabled in the phone's Bluetooth settings.
Audio troubleshooting tips
If speaker audio is lower than expected:
- Increase the volume using the touchpad.
- Check the media volume level on your phone.
- Verify that any Bluetooth media volume synchronization setting is enabled on your phone if available.
- Confirm that VIVE Eagle is connected to your phone and VIVE Connect as required for the activity you are using.
