The touchpad on VIVE Eagle lets you manage AI conversations without using voice commands. During AI interactions, you can tap the touchpad to stop responses, skip spoken output, or continue a conversation in Follow-up mode. This makes it easier to interact with VIVE AI when you want quick control over audio responses.
Understanding AI interaction touch controls
The touchpad is located on the right temple of VIVE Eagle and supports gestures that control how VIVE AI responds. These gestures are available when VIVE AI is speaking or when Follow-up mode is active.
Basic AI response control
While VIVE AI is responding, use the following gesture:

A single tap immediately stops the current AI response. This is useful if you've already heard the information you need or want to issue a new request.
Using touch controls with Follow-up mode
Follow-up mode allows VIVE AI to continue listening for additional questions after answering your previous request, so you don't need to repeat the wake word for every question.
When Follow-up mode is enabled, the touchpad provides additional controls:

If VIVE AI is responding and you already know the answer you need:
- Double tap the touchpad.
- VIVE AI skips the remainder of the response.
- VIVE AI continues listening for your next question during Follow-up mode.
Enable Follow-up mode
To use the advanced AI conversation controls described above, Follow-up mode must be enabled in VIVE Connect:
- Connect VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.
- Go to Settings > VIVE AI.
- Select Follow-up mode.
- Turn on Follow-up mode.
- Choose how long VIVE AI should continue listening after responding.
Tips for smoother AI conversations
- Use a single tap when you want to quickly end an AI response and finish the interaction.
