Learn how to configure media import settings in the VIVE Connect app for VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses, including automatically saving imported photos and videos to your phone's photo library.
When you import photos and videos from VIVE Eagle to the VIVE Connect app, the imported media is stored in the VIVE Connect gallery by default. You can change the media import behavior to automatically save a copy of imported files to your phone's photo library.
Automatically saving copies to your phone can make it easier to back up, organize, and access your photos and videos outside of VIVE Connect.
Before you begin
Make sure that:
- Your VIVE Eagle smart glasses are connected to the VIVE Connect app.
Turn on automatic media saving during import
- Connect VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.
- In VIVE Connect, go to Settings > Media.
- Turn on Save a copy when importing.
After this setting is enabled, every time you import photos or videos from VIVE Eagle, VIVE Connect will save the imported media to its gallery and also save a copy to your phone's photo library.
What happens when the setting is off?
If Save a copy when importing is turned off:
- Imported photos and videos are stored in the VIVE Connect gallery.
- Copies are not automatically saved to your phone's photo library.
- If VIVE Connect is uninstalled or its cache is cleared, the media stored only in VIVE Connect may be deleted.
Save media manually instead
If you prefer not to save copies automatically, you can save individual photos or videos manually:
- Open VIVE Connect.
- Open the photo or video you want to save.
- Tap the save icon.
You can also select multiple photos or videos and save them at the same time. Saving the same file more than once creates duplicate copies in your phone's photo library.
