Learn how to configure the default video duration for VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses in the VIVE Connect app and choose the recording length that best fits your needs.
You can change the default length of videos recorded with VIVE Eagle using the VIVE Connect app. By default, videos captured with VIVE Eagle are set to three minutes, but you can select a different duration based on your recording needs.
Before you begin
Make sure your VIVE Eagle smart glasses are connected to the VIVE Connect app on your phone before changing media settings.
Change the default video duration
- Connect your VIVE Eagle glasses to the VIVE Connect app.
- In VIVE Connect, tap Settings > Media > Video duration.
- Select the desired recording duration.
The new setting will be used for future videos recorded with VIVE Eagle.
About video recording duration
- The default video length on VIVE Eagle is three minutes.
- You can change the duration to better match your recording requirements through the VIVE Connect app.
- The maximum length of a video recording on VIVE Eagle is ten minutes.
Recording videos after changing the duration
You can start video recording on VIVE Eagle in either of these ways:
- Use the voice command "Record a video" after saying the configured wake word.
- Press and hold the capture button on the right temple for two seconds.
To stop an active recording, press the capture button or use the voice command "Stop recording."
Notes
- Video recording is unavailable if the capture LED is covered or if the glasses are not being worn. This privacy feature helps indicate when recording is taking place.
- If VIVE Eagle detects that available storage or battery is running low during recording, it automatically saves the current video and stops recording.
