Learn how to identify pairing and connection status LED signals on VIVE Eagle AI glasses. This guide explains Bluetooth pairing, connection, device discovery, and connection failure indicators so you can quickly understand the current connection state of your smart glasses.
The status LED on the inner right side of VIVE Eagle provides visual feedback during pairing and connection activities. Understanding these LED signals can help you determine whether your glasses are pairing successfully, searching for a device, connected, or experiencing a connection issue.
Where is the pairing and connection LED?
The pairing and connection indicators use the status LED located on the inner right side of the VIVE Eagle frame. The LED displays different patterns and colors to communicate the current device status.

Pairing
Fast continuously blinking white
When the status LED blinks white rapidly and continuously, VIVE Eagle is in pairing mode and is ready to be paired with a phone through the VIVE Connect app.
You may see this LED behavior:
- During first-time setup.
- After initiating the pairing process.
- After pairing data has been cleared and the glasses are ready to pair again.
Searching for a device
Continuously blinking white
A continuously blinking white LED indicates that VIVE Eagle is searching for a previously paired device. The glasses are attempting to establish a connection with a compatible phone and VIVE Connect.
You may see this behavior when:
- The glasses have been turned on.
- The paired phone is nearby.
- The connection process is still in progress.
Connected
Two white blinks
Two white blinks indicate that VIVE Eagle has successfully connected to the paired device.
Once connected, you can use features that require communication with VIVE Connect, such as:
- VIVE AI functions.
- Media transfer.
- Device management within the app.
Connection failed
Two red blinks
Two red blinks indicate that a connection attempt was unsuccessful. VIVE Eagle was unable to establish a connection with the expected device.
Common reasons may include:
- The paired phone is out of Bluetooth range.
- Bluetooth is turned off on the phone.
- The companion app is unavailable or not running as expected.
Connection failed because of low battery
Continuously blinking red
A continuously blinking red LED indicates that the connection could not be completed because the battery level is too low.
If this occurs:
- Charge VIVE Eagle.
- Wait until the battery has sufficient power.
- Try connecting again.
Tips
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone before pairing or connecting VIVE Eagle.
- For automatic connection, VIVE Eagle must already be paired through VIVE Connect.
- If connection issues persist, restart both the glasses and your phone before attempting to reconnect.
