The status LED on VIVE Eagle helps you understand when the device is actively recording, listening for voice commands, receiving notifications, or reporting important alerts. Understanding these LED behaviors can help you use your glasses confidently and recognize device activity at a glance.
Where is the status LED?
The status LED is located on the inner right side of the VIVE Eagle frame. It uses different colors and blinking patterns to communicate device activity and system events.
Activity and Notification LED Indicators
The following LED patterns indicate recording activity, notifications, and other real-time events.

| Blinks twice quickly | White | A new notification has been received |
| Solid | White | Video recording is in progress |
| Blinks once | White | A photo was captured |
| Blinks every second | White | An incoming call is being received |

Video Recording Indicator
When VIVE Eagle is recording a video, the status LED remains solid white for the duration of the recording. This lets you know that video capture is currently active.
You can start video recording by:
- Using a supported voice command
- Long-pressing the capture button on the glasses
You can stop recording by pressing the capture button again or by using the appropriate voice command.
Photo Capture Indicator
When you take a photo, the status LED blinks once in white to confirm that the image has been captured.
Photos can be captured using:
- A supported voice command
- The capture button on the glasses
Incoming Call Indicator
When your connected phone receives a call, the status LED blinks white once every second. This pattern continues while the incoming call is ringing.
Notification Indicator
When a new notification arrives, the status LED blinks twice rapidly in white. This brief signal alerts you that new information has been received on your connected device.
VIVE AI Listening Indicator
When VIVE AI is actively listening for your request or follow-up input, the status LED blinks continuously in white.
You may see this indicator after:
- Activating VIVE AI with a wake word
- Pressing the AI button to interact with VIVE AI
- Using features that require voice input
Error and Overheating Indicators
If the status LED blinks twice in red, VIVE Eagle has detected either:
- A system error
- An overheating condition
