Learn how to have text read aloud with VIVE AI on VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses. Use voice commands to hear printed text spoken back through the glasses.
The Read Text Aloud feature on VIVE Eagle lets VIVE AI read visible text back to you through the glasses. This can be useful when reading signs, menus, notices, labels, documents, or other printed text without needing to look closely at the content.
Before you begin
Make sure:
- Your VIVE Eagle glasses are powered on.
- VIVE AI is available and ready to receive voice commands.
- The text you want to read is clearly visible in front of you.
Read text aloud
- Look at the text you want VIVE AI to read.
- Activate VIVE AI using the configured wake word.
- Say one of the supported voice commands:
- “Read this for me”
- “Read word for word”
- “What does this say? Do not summarize.”
- “Tell me what this says without summarizing.”
- Wait while VIVE AI analyzes the text and reads it aloud through the glasses.
Tips for better results
- Hold your head steady while VIVE AI captures the text.
- Make sure the text is well lit and unobstructed.
- Position yourself so the text is clearly visible within the camera's view.
- For the most accurate reading, use the commands that explicitly request a word-for-word reading.
