Location Reviews lets VIVE AI identify a location you are looking at and provide its latest star rating and review information. This feature helps you quickly learn more about restaurants, shops, attractions, and other establishments without taking out your phone.

What is Location Reviews?

Location Reviews is a Visual AI feature available on VIVE Eagle. When activated, VIVE AI analyzes the location within the camera's field of view and provides review-related information about the identified establishment. The feature can provide the latest star rating and review information for the location you are viewing.

Before you begin

To use Location Reviews, make sure that:

  • VIVE Eagle is connected to VIVE Connect.
  • Your phone is connected to the internet.
  • The location or establishment is clearly visible within the camera's field of view.
  • The area has sufficient lighting for VIVE AI to identify what you are looking at.
  • The subject is not obscured by any objects or in front of a cluttered background.

Use Location Reviews with a voice command

You can ask VIVE AI to check reviews for an establishment you're looking at.

  1. Look directly at the establishment you want information about.
  2. Activate VIVE AI using your configured wake word.
  3. Say:
  4. "How is this place?"
  5. Wait while VIVE AI identifies the location and retrieves available review information.

VIVE AI can then provide review-related details about the identified establishment.

Assign Location Reviews to the AI button

For quicker access, you can assign Location Reviews to the AI button on VIVE Eagle.

  1. Connect VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.
  2. Open the AI button settings in VIVE Connect.
  3. Select whether you want the action to occur when pressing the AI button once or twice.
  4. Choose Location reviews from the available actions.

When activated from the AI button, VIVE AI identifies the location you are looking at and provides its latest star rating and review.

Tips for better results

For the best Location Reviews experience:

  • Face the establishment directly when making your request.
  • Position yourself so that the location is centered within the camera's field of view.
  • Use the feature in well-lit environments whenever possible.
  • Make sure VIVE Eagle remains connected to VIVE Connect and that your phone has internet access.

Troubleshooting

VIVE AI cannot identify the location

Check the following:

  • Verify that the location is clearly visible.
  • Make sure there is adequate lighting.
  • Avoid visual obstructions or cluttered backgrounds when possible.

Location Reviews is not responding

Make sure that:

  • VIVE Eagle is connected to VIVE Connect.
  • Your phone has an active internet connection.
  • Your voice assistant integration is configured correctly. Some VIVE AI functions rely on your phone assistant and network connectivity.

VIVE AI says it cannot process the request

If VIVE AI detects sensitive or inappropriate content, it may explain why the request cannot be processed.
