Learn how to identify plants, flowers, and fruits with VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses using the Plants visual AI feature. This VIVE Eagle smart glasses article covers setup requirements and tips for more accurate results.
The Plants feature in VIVE Eagle uses VIVE AI to identify plants, flowers, and fruits that you are looking at and provide additional information about them. You can access this feature through the AI button after assigning the Plants action in VIVE Connect.
Before you begin
Make sure the following requirements are met:
- Your VIVE Eagle glasses are paired and connected to VIVE Connect.
- Your phone has an internet connection. Visual AI features require your phone to be connected to the internet and your glasses to be connected to VIVE Connect.
- The plant is clearly visible within the camera's field of view.
Set the AI button to Plants
- Connect VIVE Eagle to VIVE Connect.
- Open VIVE Connect.
- Go to Settings > Gestures > AI button.
- Select Press once or Press twice.
- Choose Plants from the available actions.
The Plants option allows VIVE AI to identify and provide more information about the plant, flower, or fruit you are viewing.
Identify a plant
- Look directly at the plant, flower, or fruit you want to identify.
- Make sure the subject is centered in your view and clearly visible.
- Press the AI button using the gesture you assigned to the Plants feature.
- Wait for VIVE AI to analyze the subject and provide information about it.
Tips for better results
For the most accurate identification:
- Keep the plant within the camera's field of view.
- Use the feature in an area with ample lighting.
- Avoid backgrounds that have too many other objects when possible.
- Position yourself so that important details of the plant, flower, or fruit are clearly visible.
If plant identification is not working
Check the following:
- Verify that VIVE Eagle is connected to VIVE Connect.
- Verify that your phone is connected to the internet.
- Confirm that the Plants action is assigned to the AI button.
- Move closer to the subject or improve lighting conditions.
- Ensure the plant is clearly visible and not obstructed.
If VIVE AI cannot clearly see the subject, identification accuracy may be reduced. VIVE AI works best when the subject is well lit, within the camera view, and has a visually clear background.
