Learn how to charge VIVE Eagle AI smart glasses using the magnetic charging cable, understand charging indicators, and keep your smart glasses powered for daily use.
Keeping your VIVE Eagle charged ensures that AI features, voice interactions, media capture, and connectivity remain available when you need them.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- Your VIVE Eagle smart glasses
- The included charging cable
- A USB charger with an output of at least 4.5 watts
VIVE Eagle uses a magnetic charging connector located on the left temple of the glasses.
Charge VIVE Eagle
- Connect the USB-C end of the charging cable to a USB charger that provides at least 4.5 W of power.
- Attach the magnetic charging connector to the charging connector on the left temple of VIVE Eagle.
- Confirm that charging has started by checking the status LED.
- Leave the glasses connected until charging is complete.
Tip: The magnetic charging connector is reversible and can be attached in either direction.
Check the charging status
The status LED on VIVE Eagle indicates the current charging state.

Can I use VIVE Eagle while charging?
Yes. You can continue using VIVE Eagle while it is connected to a charger.
Can I charge VIVE Eagle with a power bank?
Yes. You can charge VIVE Eagle with a compatible power bank. A power bank with an output of 5 V / 0.9 A can be used to charge the device.
Charging tips
For the best charging experience:
- Use a charger that meets the minimum power requirement of 4.5 W.
- Ensure the magnetic charging connector is securely attached.
- Periodically check the status LED to confirm charging progress.
- Disconnect the charger once the battery is fully charged if you no longer need external power.
Troubleshooting charging issues
The glasses will not turn on after charging
If VIVE Eagle will not power on and the status LED is pulsing red:
- Remove the glasses if you are wearing them.
- Press and hold the AI button for approximately 12 seconds until the status LED stops pulsing red.
- Wait for the device to restart.
If the issue persists, additional recovery steps may be required.
The status LED shows a charging error
If the status LED blinks red twice, the battery may be low or a charging error may have occurred. Try:
- Reconnecting the charging cable.
- Verifying that the USB charger is supplying power.
- Checking that the magnetic connector is properly attached.
